Grupo ABC deixa de existir. Africa e DM9 se reportarão ao Omnicom

O Grupo Omnicom encerra as atividades do Grupo ABC e, a partir de janeiro de 2023, as agências Africa e DM9 se reportarão diretamente à divisão operacional, DDB Worldwide. A CDN já começou a se reportar ao Omnicom PR Group em outubro deste ano e a Interbrand Brasil tem se reportado desde julho à sede global da Interbrand.

Africa and DM9 to Report Directly into Omnicom Operating Division DDB Worldwide 

Omnicom and DDB Worldwide announce that as of January 2023, former Grupo ABC agencies AFRICA and DM9 will report directly into Omnicom operating division DDB Worldwide. CDN began reporting into Omnicom PR Group in October of this year and Interbrand Brazil has been reporting into Interbrand’s global headquarters since July.  

As a result, Grupo ABC, which was acquired by Omnicom in 2016, will no longer operate as a holding company. The move had been expected for some time. 

Preparation began when Cristiano Muniz took over as ABC President in January 2020. Muniz has been leading the restructuring of the group and its agencies since then. “With the restructuring now complete there is no need for a local holding company layer. I leave confident that the Omnicom operating divisions will continue to prosper and grow with much success in the Brazilian market,” said Muniz.
